What can I Dump?

  • Single Axle Dump Trucks: These trucks are ideal for smaller loads, ranging from one to six cubic yards. With a compact wheelbase of 155 inches, they're perfect for maneuvering in tight spaces. However, their 19-foot length can still restrict access to certain areas.

  • Tandem Axle Dump Trucks: For hauling twice as much as their single-axle counterparts (one to twelve cubic yards), tandem axle dump trucks are the go-to. Their longer 188-inch wheelbase and 23-25 foot overall length strike a balance between capacity and maneuverability. Still, they might face limitations when accessing certain locations.

  • Semi-Tractor Dump Trailers: These heavy-duty trucks can haul twice as much as tandem axle dump trucks and four times as much as single axle dump trucks. Due to their substantial size and weight, though, they're not well-suited for residential areas and have some commercial limitations. A semi-tractor dump trailer is a hydraulic hoist-equipped trailer pulled by a 3-axle tractor and a 2-axle semi-trailer. Rapid unloading is a major benefit, but they're unstable when raised on uneven ground. The turning radius is wider due to their length, and they face challenges with overhead power lines during dumping.

  • Belly Dump Trailers: Tailored for construction projects, these trailers excel at high-volume transport of soil or gravel. They allow the driver to distribute material in windrows without leaving the cab, increasing efficiency. Hot mix asphalt and large stones can also be hauled. These trailers have adjustable gates to control material flow for precise spreading over long distances.

  • Flatbed Trailers: With two axles, flatbed trailers are versatile for hauling freight, equipment, or bagged goods. They lack sides or a top, but many loads can be secured with tarps or nets. Some models feature spread axles to evenly distribute the load weight across each axle.
